Tableland man gunned down
A 30-year-old man was shot dead close to his home on Sunday night. Police said Darron Dyer, of Third Branch Road, Monkey Town, was shot several times about the body while in company with friends outside a neighbour’s house. According to police, around 10.50 pm Dyer’s sister Petal Dyer heard gun shots. She found him on the roadway with blood oozing from the chest and abdomen. He died before either police or ambulance arrived.
La Romaine killed in front girlfriend
San Fernando police are also searching for two men who allegedly shot and killed a La Romaine man in the presence of his girlfriend on Sunday night. Reports say around 8 pm, Andre Blackwell, 34, of Papourie Road was outside his girlfriend’s home at Jereton Avenue, Coconut Drive, Cross Crossing when two men came in a silver Nissan Sunny B15. One of the men Blackwell knew got out of the car and fell into an argument with him. During the exchange the other occupant of the car drew a gun and shot Blackwell twice in the chest. They then drove off.
