A 45-year-old homeless man was stabbed to death in Tacarigua yesterday morning. According to police reports, around 6.45 am a security guard waiting for transportation on the Priority Bus Route in Tacarigua, near to the Eddie Hart Savannah, noticed the bleeding man lying under a bus shed. The guard went to the man’s assistance and realised he had a stab wound to the chest. Police were contacted.
However, the man succumbed before officers arrived. The victim was later identified by his brother as Anthony Kissoon. His brother told police Kissoon left their family’s home several years ago and was living in and around the savannah. Investigators said Kissoon was not known to police and a motive for his murder had not been established. The murder toll for the year stood at 176 up to late yesterday.
ASP Greenwich, Insp Romain, Sgt Charles and WPC Huggins of the Northern Division went to the crime scene and conducted preliminary investigations.
