A 23-year-old man from Santa Cruz was gunned down yesterday during a drive-by shooting in the area.
Police said around 5 pm, Rene Cruickshank, also known as “Minor”, was liming with a group of friends as Bass Street, Cantaro, when a white Toyota Corolla motorcar drove past.
One of its occupants, police said, pointed an automatic weapon in the direction of the group, fatally hitting Cruickshank. He lived at Sam Boucaud.
North Eastern Division Task Force officers, led by Sgt Cornelius Samuel, visited the scene and are carrying out enquiries.
