New law term begins tomorrow

Chief Justice Ivor Archie is expected to raise some of the concerns of the Judiciary when he addresses the opening of the new law term at the Hall of Justice, Port-of-Spain tomorrow. The ceremonial opening begins with an inter-religious service at the Cathedral Church of the Holy Trinity, Abercromby Street, from 10am.

Following the service there will be a procession to the Hall of Justice on Knox Street where Archie will inspect the Guard of Honour by the Police Service. Judges, Magistrates and other members of the Judiciary will also be present. Archie will later address the ceremony at the Convocation Hall and formerly declare the 2014/15 law term open.
