Three days after being arrested under suspicion of gang-related activities the two close male relatives of Carapo Life Sport co-ordinator Rajaee Ali were released without charges yesterday. The men were arrested on Monday at their home in Malabar. Members of the Criminal Gang and Intelligence Unit picked up the men before detaining two other men in Diego Martin who were also linked to a Carapo mosque. They too were freed yesterday. The four men were kept in separate cells at the San Juan, Barataria and Central Police Stations. Ali, a former murder accused, was arrested in relation to similar offences earlier this year and after spending several days in police custody was also released without being charged.
