My heart goes out to the late Dana Seetahal’s family after she was murdered in Port-of-Spain. She was a true patriot of T&T who devoted much of her time and knowledge for more than ten years to help bring justice to many, as well as aid the justice system of this country. Any time I read her column, it provided insight about issues taking place and explained them effortlessly to the common man on the street. Up to yesterday I read her column where she explained something so technical and hard for non-lawyers to understand and making it simple to understand. She was definitely one of the more popular weekly columnist.
Ms Dana Seetahal, SC, fought cases for the state and clients for more than ten years and definitely provided the best services and her expertise. She even provided her services pro bono as a citizen of T&T, aiding with many of the justice bills and crucial pieces of legislation on which I am sure she provided her best expertise. I hope her killers are brought to justice and she is given what she provided for others. Once again my deepest condolences to her family. We have lost one of our soldiers of justice.
