Police are on the scene in Gasparillo where a 55-year-old woman was found murdered.
Initial reports stated that Salick Mohammed of Bonne Aventure Road left home around 10 am, leaving his wife Savitri Mohammed behind.
On returning home hours later, he found her dead, with her throat slit.
Investigations are underway.
