Five more murdered yesterday

Five murders were recorded in Trinidad yesterday. According to CNC3 news, two men were found dead in a silver Almera car parked on West Side Terrace. Residents said that shortly after 1 pm yesterday they heard gunshots and ran to the area where they discovered the lifeless bodies of two men in the vehicle. Up to late last night the men had not been identified.

 

In a separate incident, one man was killed after a shooting incident outside a club in Couva. Police reports said around 3:30 am yesterday, two groups of men had an altercation at Club Deja Vu and a fight broke out. Several men were stabbed during the fracas and approximately one hour later, some of the men returned to the club and started shooting. Dillon Brown, of West Boundary Street, California, was hit several times about the body and died at the scene. 

 

A 28-year-old man was shot and killed in Laventille. Police reports said that around 8 pm yesterday a group of people were liming at Dan Kelly in Laventille, when two armed men approached the group and opened fire. Kerry Edwards, of Dan Kelly, was hit several times about the body and died at the scene. A man who was only identified as Benjamin, 21, of Picton Road, Laventille, was also shot in the chest and is currently in the ICU in critical condition. 

 

Meanwhile, Charmaine Forde, a 52-year-old mother of 11 from Upper Wharton Street, Laventille, was stabbed to death on Charlotte Street around 6:30 pm yesterday. Forde got into an altercation with another woman while at Nickels Casino and was stabbed in the chest. The suspect ran away.
